Illegal Immigration

The U.S. Legislation has been debating over an immigration bill, stating that it is a felony to be in this country illegally and a crime to dispense aid to the nation's 11 million illegal immigrants. Many Mexican students all over the states have walked out of their classes and gathered with the many other protesters against this bill. The main reason for this bill is to cut down on the illegal immigration that keeps coming into the U.S. from the California-Mexico border. President Bush's view on the immigration legislation is that he hopes that Congress comes up with stronger border controls and a program that “would create a legal way to match willing foreign workers with willing American employers to fill jobs that Americans will not do.” After many hours of debating, the U.S. Congress which was was 12-6 in voting, came up with the Illegal Immigration Bill.
